Teeth bleaching can be done by various methods. These can be bleaching by dentist, whitening tooth pastes or by various home bleaching methods. These home bleaching or home teeth whitening methods are discussed as under:

Though not much popular as bleaching agent but have abrasive action. Make sure that you should not use hard tooth brush as it wears off the enamel surface because of its abrasive action. 

Salt

It is also applied with the help of toothbrush and massaged for about 15 – 20 minutes with the help of brush. It is more effective for stains that are lighter. And also strawberries are easily available in the market. Results are seen in 3 months.

It is applied with the help of a toothbrush. It is much effective than others. Make sure that you rinse your with the help of water after its use. It is quick in action. Results are seen in 3 – 6 months.

Baking Soda

At home teeth whitening or bleaching treatment is considered cheaper, with fewer side effects, more convenient and as effective as dental office treatment. It is considered more effective only if used regularly at home and results are better seen in such cases. Avoid the intake of those items that cause staining of your teeth to see the quick and long lasting effects of the At home bleaching agents or products. Many bleaching agents can be used to bleach the teeth at home and most commonly used ones are – baking soda, pulp of strawberries, salt, etc.

These pastes contain abrasives. They act by abrading the surface stains on the tooth. As there is no active component in them, so its not considered as active tooth bleaching technique. 

Whitening Toothpastes

Procedure: The teeth to be bleached are isolated and gingiva is protected so as to avoid any kind of adverse effect. Then the bleaching agent is applied on the tooth surface to be bleached. It is left there for about 12 - 15 minutes. Then after that the gel is cleaned from the tooth surface. This process is repeated as required. 

In this method the bleaching is done in the office. As about 35% of hydrogen peroxide is used and its not safe method to be done or carried out at home i.e. without the supervision of the expert.
