  • You are advised to brush your teeth after having breakfast. To have healthy teeth and gums, it is important that you brush twice and floss regularly. You have to brush before going to bed at night and after having breakfast in the morning.  Brushing at night is done to remove all the food particles which have deposited and then the brushing is done in the morning after breakfast. Brushing at night is very important because at night the person sleeps and if the person has not brushed his teeth, then the food particles in the mouth will be fermented by the bacteria and will cause the decay of teeth. At night, the saliva flow is also less. The self cleansing property of saliva is also less and it increases the incidence of caries.    The technique of brushing is also very important.  Along with brushing, it is important to floss to remove the deposits present between the teeth. Along with brushing and flossing, you can also use a mouthwash which is a chemical method to reduce the number of bacteria in the mouth. Mouthwash use should be supplemented with tooth brushing and flossing.
