For a regular cleaning and check-up, is it normal to have to come back for a second visit in order to get a bone measurement and be charged for the second visit?

  • After regular dental cleaning and check-up, you can go for second visit to get bone measurement done. It will let you know that whether the pocket depth or the condition of gums has improved or not. Specialist may or may not charge for a second visit depending on the time lapse between the first and the second visit.  If the second visit is within 7 days or 10 days after the first visit, then the specialist may not charge and if second visit is after quite a long time, then the specialist will charge.  Dental insurances may or may not pay dentist’s fees for second visit.
