Is it safe for my 6 year old to use normal (non-kid) toothpaste? Its close up whiting sparkle gel. She keeps telling me she no longer wants to use her "kiddy" toothpaste and wants you use ours...can i let her?

  • At the age of 6 years the child has developed the spitting reflex. He can spit normally without swallowing the tooth paste so it is safe to use the adult tooth paste. The adult tooth paste has high fluoride level than the kids tooth paste . If swallowed it can be toxic so that is why it is recommended to use the kids tooth paste but that is applicable till the age of 4 years.
