Had dental filling of left lower molar two weeks ago. Dentist had an extremely difficult time numbing me never got it fully numb. Hit live nerve while filling tooth. Two days later face swelled and severe pain followed. Saw dentist 4 days later filed down filling and placed me on antibiotics and pain killers. Going on 3 weeks swelling of face continues and now can't open mouth without severe pain following ears hurting sometimes and headaches and uncontrollable coughing dentist is very nonchalant .

  • it looks like you have an infected tooth as the nerve was exposed while doing filling. From your symptoms it seems that you have to go for the root canal treatment of the affected tooth. Discuss with your dentist . it is difficult to give you the treatment plan with out seeing the case clinically and dong the X-ray's.
