I had a back tooth extracted a week ago, found out several days later was dry socket, had this treated yesterday back at the dentist, I still have fever and pain, how long does this last for should I have this treated again so infection can go quicker and why did this happen to me. Thank you

  • There are many causes for the dry socket , Some times if the extraction is not simple but traumatic dry socket can be there. or it can be there if we don't follow all the instructions after the tooth extraction. Basically dry socket is there because of the dislodgement of the clot which forms within 24 hours of extraction. Now you got it treated .it will take some time for the socket to heal. Do follow all the instructions given by your dentist and maintain very good oral hygiene. For more info on dry socket you can visit the following link on our website...
