After taking an antidepressant I've developed a habit of clenching my jaws , the last few nights has been the worse and so two days ago i woke up with a severely bad jaw ache and yesterday it seemed to hurt a tooth more than anything. I was wondering if toothache and gum swelling could be an outcome of jaw clenching and if there was anything i could do to help.

  • Toothache and the gum problem can be beacuse of clenching of jaw as this clenching of jaw is called bruxism or night grinding, which is normally due to some kind stress. For this you have to go for stress management and you can wear night guard to avoid the damage teeth and gums. So schedule a visit to a dentist and discuss your situation with him.
