My daughter is 1. She has had an overall weird eruption pattern. She started with her upper canines, then lower incisors & now she has only 1 of her top incisors... However, in the last 2 days it's seemed that she's starting to get another tooth bud for her other incisor ... But it's literally right above her other one, on the same side! And that bump in there was definitely not there a few days ago... Is this possible? Is there any thing that can be done? It makes me very nervous because when she was about 4 months old, her & I fell. She smacked her face pretty hard & tore her lip in the crease inside the mouth where it attached to the gum. So I'm concerned this is the cause for this weird eruption. She does have some scarring on the side of her gum that the teeth are NOT on. :( Thanks for the help.

  • Trauma at the age of 4 months can be cause of weird eruption. At this stage, nothing can be done. You have to just wait and watch. when she has adult teeth eruption, at that time, you have to be very particular and keep on consulting a Pedodontist because if the teeth are not erupting in their place then sometimes the baby teeth have to be pulled out to make the space for the adult tooth. Still now you can schdule a appointment with Pedodontist i.e child dental specialist, who will examine, take xrays if needed and tell you the treatment plan becuase without clinical exam, history and xrays, nothing definatley can be suggested. for more info on child dental problems you can check this link in our website.... http://www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-children-dentistry-33.aspx
