I have a brown vertical line going down my front tooth. It doesn't seem like a stain more like tooth decay because when I run my finger over the tooth u can feel it. I always had nice teeth and brush normally so I'm confused as to what it might be and how it happened.

  • It looks like that the vertical line on the front tooth is not the decay but it can be some morphological defect or the fracture line. These abnormalities can get stained with time. It is difficult to give the definite diagnosis without clinical examination. The treatment depends upon the diagnosis. You can go for the veneer or the composite built up.
