  • It is not that deep cleaning causes the loosening of teeth. if you don't get the regular cleaning done and a thick layer of piaque is deposited then if deep cleaning is done and that layer is removed then the teeth feel as they have loosened. The bone loss is already there but the teeth are stabalized by the thick layer of plaque and when that is removed the patient feels that the teeth have become weak and the gaps have come between. That is why if bone loss is severe and a thick layer of plaque is already deposited dentist avoids doing the deep scaling if he feels that the removal of the plaque layer can cause the mobile teeth.
