I have a absess gum under the bottom right tooth and it's beginning to go under my jaw bone. My dentist put me on some clindamycin 150 MG and I've been taking them going on day 3 and I'm not sure if it's doing any good meaning I'm in alot of pain is there a safe way to lance it myself

  • Along with the medicine you should get te X-Ray done to find out the cause of the abcess . If it is because of decayed tooth and it can be saved by the root canal treatment then go for it . if it is because of the gums then get it drained out. If the tooth can not be saved then under the coverage of antibiotic it can be extracted . If you start with the treatment the abcess will be drained out and you will be comfortable.
