Lately I've been sleeping with my mouth open, which I never used to do. When I wake up my tongue is stuck to the top of my mouth. I'm not even sure if this is a dental problem. Also, I have teeth in the back that are cracked and irritate my tongue, what can I do?

  • It looks like that because of cracked teeth in the back which is cause the irritation, you are keeping your mouth open as night while sleeping or it can be due to nasal congestion or sinus problem, making you mouth breather instead of nasal breather. for this first you have to get diagnosis made that what is cause of mouth breathing. In any case you have to get treatment for the cracked tooth as chronic irritation of tongue can cause lesion  on the tongue which can cause real complicatons later on. So schedule an appointment with your dentist. for more info on mouth breathing you can check this very informative link in our website... http://www.identalhub.com/articlecategory-mouth-breathing-10.aspx
